UKDP are the UK’s off-mains drainage experts. They translate the complex world of off-mains drainage to make sure the right decisions are made when it comes to potentially stinky situations.
The Problem
The UKDP team had outgrown their website. It needed to better showcase their personality and the all-important services they offer so more people can benefit from their expertise.

Following a proven process, Club worked with UKDP to completely rethink the Marketing Website. From the structure to the design, the complete overhaul was guided by the team’s refreshed goals and focussed on achieving them.

Content Strategy & Audit
The success of a website depends on clear content strategy and the UKDP website was no exception. Through discovery sessions we developed a strategy that guaranteed their website would help UKDP achieve their goals.
Armed with a clear understanding of who the website needed to speak to and what it needed to communicate, we performed a detailed content audit of the wealth of information that UKDP already had on their existing website.
The resulting content inventory was referenced as we built out the overall content structure of the new website, ensuring every page had a clear objective and message.
User Experience
As the content structure began to take shape, we visualised it in a sitemap to make sure that navigating the website would be effortless and intuitive.
With an outline of the content required for each page in hand, our design team started to define ideal user journeys and content layouts with wireframes.
Visual Language
With the overall structure of the site pages defined the team explored appropriate typography, color, photography and illustration.
Ultimately, custom photography and hand-drawn elements where required to humanise the website and help UKDP to connect with their audience.
Visual Designs
Time to pull everything together! Using the wireframes as a guide, the team established the aestheics of each page—refining the typography, colour palettes and other visual elements in the process.
The final visual elements were all extracted to a UI Kit and Pattern Library to ensure that any additional pages could be built quickly but remain consistent with the rest of the website.
Craft CMS Development
The resulting designs were brought to life as a responsive website, powered by Craft CMS—giving UKDP full control over their content and the power to add new pages as their business developed.
